Axwell – Waiting For So Long (Gloria) (RavenKis Remix)

RavenKis is one France’s rising stars. With a career that already has support from the likes of Sick Individuals, Danny Avila, Thomas Gold, Feenixpawl, Arno Cost, Norman Doray and Tony Romera, his talent is far from unknown and more than appreciated. Renowned for his injection’s of French character in his tracks, his distinctive sound sets him apart from numerous other.

Having received major support from Axwell himself for his remix of Camelphat’s “Paradigm”, RavenKis has also given his spin on a few timeless tracks. Including Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know” and The Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition” his alternative takes on the tracks have received significant praise and success. And with “Astronomia” featured on Spinnin’s Talent Pool, as well as further reworks of Linkin Park and Sebastian Ingrosso, his depth of material and bold production task’s are from unnoticed.

With a ‘Hardwell On Air’ premiere under his belt already, RavenKis’ is drawing the attention of some of the industry’s biggest names in recent times. With Axwell himself “…loving the French vibe” of his latest studio work, RavenKis is undoubtedly on Axtone’s radar’s. With his remix of “Waiting For So Long” already appearing alongside Nicky Romero on Protocol Radio, and early support from fellow-Frenchman Gregori Klosman, this is destined to be one of his biggest productions to date.

With bassy undertones, the French groove is unmissable. Reminiscent of some of Daft Punk’s finest work, the chopped and dynamic take on Axwell’s heartfelt masterpiece is crafty. Maintaining the magical chords and emotive melody, the variation in tempo infuses a real funky-fresh vibe to the atmosphere. More club-friendly and disco-like in nature, than the original, RavenKis has worked a wonder with this one.
