Community and DJ’s respond to Avicii’s retirement announcement over Twitter
Just over 12 hours ago Avicii announced his retirement from performing and touring. A step many can understand, but very few expected.
Given the close knit nature of the industry’s DJ’s it was only a matter of time before many of scenes biggest names tweeted their reaction and support for Avicii. Having been someone who was instrumental in the mainstream popularity of EDM today, helping bridge the gap between party stereotypes and radio friendly music, the scene owes Avicii a fair amount of credit to say the least, regardless of personal opinion on the Swedish titan.
Check out the DJ’s reactions below and let us know your thoughts!

.@avichie Best of luck on the retirement with the music career stuff. I've tried twice. It's not like quitting a fuckin dayjob.
