Billboard announce their 2016 music award finalists

One of the biggest award shows of the year is just around the corner as Billboard’s 2016 music awards is set to take place on May 22nd.

After a stellar 2015, it’s no surprise to see that Skrillex and Diplo are up for a number of awards with their Jack U project being nominated for both Top Dance/Electronic Album for Skrillex and Diplo present: Jack U as well as Top Dance/Electronic song with Where are u now. Diplo received further nominations for his work with Major Lazer with the album Peace is the mission and for the track Lean On.

Sadly though, no electronic acts managed to breakthrough into the general music categories which were dominated by the more popular acts such as Taylor Swift.
