Bingo Players – Lone Wolf

Maarten Hoogstraten, otherwise known as Bingo Players returns with a bass thumping new single of 2016.  “Curiosity” and “Nothing to Say” were his last two singles released last year, and while low on quantity compared to his peers, his quality of output was some of the most impressive.

The two songs marked the first music releases since the passing of fellow Bingo Players member Paul Baumer in 2013. To commemorate Paul Baumer, “Bingo Players will stay plural” as Hoogstraten stated in an interview with Billboard.

The music must continue.  And as they say in show business, the show must go on.  This electro/big room house Dutch DJ is back and fans won’t be disappointed.

At first listen, “Lone Wolf” sounds a little bit like a song that could be played in a video game, reminiscent of Mortal Combat when players are about to start fighting.  It starts off slow with chanting that sounds like it’s done in Japanese to guitar softly strumming in the background. However, it doesn’t stay that way.  As thunder sounds loudly before lightening, there is a thumping big-bass input to really get the blood in your veins pumping.  The song flows in a continuous motion of slow to fast builds, ebbing and flowing between anticipation and satisfaction.

“Lone Wolf” is the type of song that listeners will enjoy as it takes them on a journey.  This song is unpredictable at first listen which will grab listeners attention and make them keep wanting more. It is undoubtedly a song that will not be stopped playing anytime soon.

The song was officially released Friday April 1, preview or buy it on iTunes.
