Gorgon City – Blue Parrot

Hailing from North London, the duo of Kye ‘Foamo’ Gibbon and Matt ‘RackNRuin’ Robson-Scott, or better known by their stage names Gorgon City, have released their newest song. Famously known for their singles “Real” in 2013 and ”Ready For Your Love” in 2014, the producers of house and deep house bring another banging tune to their fans.

They’re finally back with their newest single ”Blue Parrot”. The first couple of seconds of the song is filled with the sounds of birds chirping and a light airy vibe wafts through the air. But then there’s the drums, the kicks, and the snares. It gets heavy with its percussions, making use of different chords and tempos. Enter in, the sound of a man’s voice, deep as he echoes throughout the song, ‘How we do’ and a simple grunt.

Aside from a heavy deep house feel, there is a dark, looming techno feel to it. The use of drum machines and synthesizers are heavily used throughout the song. With this brand new single, Gorgon City fans won’t be disappointed. It will have your heads boppin’ and bangin’ along to the melody. From a light and airy atmosphere, such as a butterfly fluttering happily along, into the dark, heavy, sick beats of percussion. It is a very mellow song, playing at only 124 beats per minute.
