Interpol – Everything Is Wrong (Solomun Remix)

He has risen from underground mainstay to a household name in the dance music scene and through his labels Diynamic and 2Diy4 released some savvy, profile-heavy remix work. True to form, Solomun has just revealed his latest remix, this time for popular New York City rock band Interpol. The remix and an extended ‘Solomun Stripped Remix’ without vocals will be released on April 29 .

Interpol’s ‘Everything Is Wrong’ from their latest album ‘El Pintor’ has been resculpted for the dancefloor by a man who has become known for his masterfully emotive, slow-building takes on tracks. Solomun’s remix preserves the gritty guitar line, adding a subtle but deep bassline and echoey percussion. The vocals are slightly tweaked with an electronic twang reminiscent of 80s bands. Solomun’s remix of ‘Everything Is Wrong’ preserves the mood and melody of the original, yet is a clearly recognisable production of his own.

‘Everything Is Wrong’ comes out just as Solomun kicks off his 2016 summer season, including the return of his famed ‘Solomun + 1’ residency at Pacha Ibiza.
