mau5trap presents #2 with ATTLAS on the guest mix

After having a bit of a wild Miami music week which included 3 sets and a surprise guest appearance with Pendulum on the Ultra mainstage, it’s safe to say that deadmau5 has well and truly put himself back in the spotlight. During all of the madness of Miami many never noticed that the mau5 premiered his show on Apple Music’s Beats One platform.

After an incredible debut in which we were treated to Joel’s personal favourite tracks, this time we’re exposed to more of the same during hour one of the mix, while hour two takes us into the mind of one of mau5trap’s most talented artists: ATTLAS.

Starting off with a world exclusive in the incredible “Aspen” by ATTLAS, we’re then taken down the rabbit hole to see what tracks  keep Joel inspired and it’s safe to say there’s a few here that would surprise many. From the Beastie Boys to UK dubstep pioneer Burial, this is a genre blending mix that traverses melodies and emotions and takes us into the mind of one of the greatest electronic producers out there.

In hour two, ATTLAS steps up to the decks and again curates a beautifully atmospheric mix.  Going down a dark melodic tech route, Jeff stuns us with cuts from the likes of Sven Vath, Stephan Bodzin and Jon Hopkins. He really is one of the top rising producers in the dance music world right now and we’re more than excited to hear what else he’s got cooking up.
