Home Uncategorized Carl Cox announces colossal lineup as he prepares to bow out after 15 year residency in Space Ibiza

One of the most disappointing music news in recent times has been the announcement that Carl Cox’s Space Ibiza residency will come to an end after an amazing 15 years. In an industry that is constantly changing, Carl Cox has been a constant and consistent source of incredible music and Ibiza party goers were always in for a treat on the white isle. As previously reported, Mr Cox’s departure was due to his dissatisfaction with the ownership change of Space Ibiza which meant a change of the strategic direction of the club.

It may be the end of one of the most famous Ibiza residencies but Cox has made sure to go out with a bang with an epic line-up that has just been extended. 2016 will be Cox’s 15th season and his longest yet, running for 15 weeks with one week for every year of his Ibiza journey. To celebrate his epic residency, Cox will be bringing back DJs who are special to the history of ‘Music is Revolution’ and as always, he’ll be sharing his passion for future talent by giving the booth to fresh artists in the scene.

Confirmed to be joining the techno superstar are the legendary French-born Francois K, US House heroes Danny Tenaglia and Masters At Work, dance legends Sasha, John Digweed, Fatboy Slim, Josh Wink and Jon Rundell, as well as Cadenza boss Luciano, in-demand Pan-Pot, Detroit heavyweight Carl Craig, Berlin-based Magda, Switzerland’s Deetron, Adam Beyer b2b with Ida Engberg, plus Italian giants Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati. Drum and bass will be heard from Andy C & Tonn Piper and elsewhere we’ll have Guy J, UNER, James Lavelle and DJ Sneak. In support of new faces on the scene, we’ll also see Lauren Lo Sung and Eli & Fur.

Most recently added to the line-up are Loco Dice, Nicole Moudaber, Nic Fanciulli, Davide Squillace, Chris Liebing, Yousef, Cristian Varela, Eric Prydz who’ll be performing under his techno alter ego Cirez D, Eats Everything, Julio Bashmore, Catz N’ Dogz, Monika Kruse, Matthias Tanzmann, Heidi, B.Traits, Nina Kraviz, Kölsch, tINI, and Hot Since 82.

The hugely successful event ‘Music is Revolution – The Final Chapter‘ kicks off for the final season on Tuesday 14th June and runs until the closing on Tuesday 20th September 2016.

It may be the final chapter but it seems as though the techno superstar has saved the best for last!
