Solarstone’s releases new single “Lost Hearts”
From Birmingham, England, Richard Mowatt, better known by his stage alias Solarstone, has released the full version of his newest track “Lost Hearts”.
Mowatt has been in the dance scene since the early 2000’s recording under other pseudonyms before settling on Solarstone. Mowatt in turn has played world-renowned music festivals, and collaborated with some of the biggest names in Trance. He is now the mastermind behind Solarstone presents Pure Trance – keeping the soul of trance but making it modern – and is one half of the trance duo, Pure NRG alongside Guiseppe Ottaviani.
With this hotly anticipated newest single, Solarstone delivers to trance lovers a track that will make big waves in the scene and continue for many years to come. It stays true to Solarstone’s Pure Trance movement.
At a little over eight minutes long, it utilizes elements prominently seen in trance music. For the first three minutes, this track features heavy percussion, loud, hard, floor-thumping beats of kick drums, and snares. As the bass slowly recedes in the background, the long melodies of a piano synthesizer combined with guitar strumming are present. As the song builds, the kick drums come back in, and the only words softly spoken are “Lost Hearts”.
This song is driven by its use of many different sounds to create a wonderfully cheery, airy, uplifting instrumental song. It is available for purchase on Beatport and a shorter version of the song is available on SoundCloud.
