It’s been exactly 4 years since deadmau5′ “The Veldt” took dance music by storm and set a new standard for progressive house music. The score was inspired from a short story by Ray Bradbury of the same name; singer Chris James worked with Zimmerman’s instrumental, adding a lush vocal that went on to become timeless.

In 2012, the track ranked 48 on Rollingstone’s Best Songs charts and secured positions on the top 100 charts in Netherlands, United States, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland and France. The release on Ultra Music saw the label gain multitudes of traction and propelled deadmau5 and mau5trap to a truly global scale.
