Florian Picasso – Final Call
This may just be the most interesting description of a DJ and producer you will ever hear. It’s not every day that we get to share the artistic vision of a great grandson of a truly legendary artist in every sense of the word, the one and only Pablo Picasso. Florian Picasso comes from an aesthetic and creative family and it’s no wonder the direction he has chosen in life fits him like a glove.
Florian Picasso began his musical endeavours with his first hit “Origami” last year, which was chosen as coveted track of the year by DJ Mag France. His blend of progressive house infused with energetic, electro drops is dynamic enough to fit both the club and festival circuit which means we’ll be seeing a lot more of Florian in the coming months.
Florian is at the forefront of developing a fresh sound for the progressive house genre. The vocal rendition of “Origami“, entitled “Want it Back“, was another hit, having reached an incredible 2.5 million plays on Spotify. Florian also earned the privilege and respect of Protocol Recordings as he mixed the Protocol presents Miami 2016 compilation in March with colleague Blinders.
Florian’s newest track “Final Call” is his third release on house mega-label Protocol Recordings. Featuring emotive lyrics over a lively melody, “Final Call” comes to its pinnacle with an electro-influenced drop with big bending synth stabs. “Final Call” uses all the winning elements of a hit track and comes just in time for summer and the height of festival season. Protocol label boss Nicky Romero has made ‘Final call’ a staple of his festival sets since February and from the first time you press play on the track you will understand why.
After performances at Amsterdam Dance Event and Miami earlier this year, Florian has certainly justified his high-profile last name and we can’t wait to hear what else he has in store for his growing fanbase. Check out “Final Call” below and order the lush vocal anthem right here.
