Instagram may have spilled a Gorillaz collaboration

Teasing fans piece by piece of hints for their promised 2016 album, Gorillaz members Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett know exactly what to do to keep, well literally everyone, on the edge of their seats. With continuous studio release footage and photos of the recording process, they might be enjoying this… but I think it’s safe to say fans are getting testy.

Remi Kabaka, better known by his stage name Russel Hobs, added an Instagram photo tagging rap star Vic Mensa with a caption, “No Chill” earlier today; Kabaka quickly removed it however, to eliminate any further speculation of album collaborations. Long time friend of the Gorillaz, Mensa can be heard subbing in for Del The Funky Homosapien during the groups 2014 Governors ball appearance.

Overall, I think it’s safe to say we are all hoping this one’s true.
