Deadmau5 reveals prototype of Cube V2

The mau5 and the cube – one of the most epic combos a live performance can offer. Debuted in 2010 as his album 4×4=12 was about to be released, the cube has become deadmau5’s most iconic stage setup. Joel Zimmerman has now revealed yet another exciting development through his Instagram account, announcing potential plans to re-introduce his signature cube stage.

Titled as “CubeV2 Prototype”, Deadmau5 displays a brand new version of his future live setup, while declaring it as “the coolest shit in the world”. Making use of VR, he gives a possible foretaste of how the new cube could look like, featuring a brand new desing and possible LED visuals, which will in all probabilty be synced in perfect conjuction with his newest tracks. The software used by the creator, Unreal Engine, is a software program which is frequently used by video game developers as well as VR designers.
