Since their formation in 2012, the Italian duo of Reebs has been steadily rising to stardom. Combining energetic beats with quality production standards, the two have caught the eye of big name artists in the industry like Tommy Trash, Blasterjaxx, Ummet Ozcan, and Dyro. Increasing their stardom, their collaboration with Haxon & Rush was featured in the Nameless Music Festival 2015’s official aftermovie. Reebs has returned in 2016 with vengeance releasing their ‘Never Go Home’ EP featuring two incredible tracks: ‘Never Go Home’ and ‘Thaanam.’

Starting with the title track, ‘Never Go Home’ combines a summertime melody with a steady progression and uplifting vocals from Nomi. During the breakdown, the guitar strumming sets the mood for another quality buildup that gives way to the incredible flute rift that takes you to another world. The flute is the star of the record and provides the bit that takes it over the edge and makes it a perfect release for the summer season. ‘Never Go Home’ blends together a tropical sound with an energetic beat to create a masterful hit.

The other record on the EP, ‘Thaanam,’ has the potential to be an incredible Trap record. Pairing together with SLVR for the track, the dark sound of the record immediately jumps out and you can hear the almost middle eastern influences on the beat with the initial sound. Then as the song builds up, the track gives way to a heavy bass and a haunting vocal rift. ‘Thaanam’ definitely appeals to the “bassier” audience but has the potential to be extremely popular this summer with his unique sound.

Reebs’ ‘Never Go Home’ EP is out Thursday, June 30th on Nameless Records. We are incredibly excited to see what Reebs has in store for us next after this stellar EP.
