Calvin Harris reunites with John Newman for upcoming release “Olé”

Back in 2014, Scottish producer Calvin Harris collaborated with English singer John Newman for the unique track titled “Blame”. Once it was released, this record was able to reach the peak of numerous charts across the globe and receive a highly coveted platinum certification.

As a follow-up to this successful single, the two artists join forces once again for Newman’s upcoming song titled “Olé”. Newman confirmed the release via Twitter and during a recent interview with Digital Spy, he stated:

“We’ve done a lot. My next single is kind of reggae, which is nice and different. There’s not many instruments in it, it’s not like ‘JOHN NEWMAN’ and really blaring and forcing songs down people’s throats. It’s just chilled, and I know Calvin’s really, really proud of it as well. He says it’s one of his favorite songs he’s ever written.”

With the revelation of its reggae flavor, “Olé” could be something fresh from Harris and Newman but with the two artists’ undeniable abilities to produce chart-topping hits, we can expect this new collaboration to gain as much success as their preceding releases.

The song will be released this Friday, July 8th.
