Home Uncategorized Crystal Castles release details about their upcoming album Amnesty (I)

Crystal Castles have announced through their social media that their new album will be titled Amnesty (I) and will be released on August 19th, making it their first album in 4 years and the first album without Alice Glass, the original vocalist, as she parted ways with the band in 2014. As a result, she was replaced by Edith Frances in 2015.

If you haven’t heard about them before, Crystal Castles was a project created by songwriter/producer Ethan Kath in Toronto in 2003. He recruited vocalist Alice Glass in 2006 and since then they together created a very experimental electronic unique sound and have been recognised for their crazy live shows which involved manic visuals with Alice always getting the crowd hyped.

The newly reformed group have already released tracks which will feature in the album, such as ‘Char’, ‘Concrete’ and ‘Femen’. The group will also be playing lots of major festivals this year, such as Sziget, Pukkelpop and Reading & Leeds festival. Amnesty (I) will be released on Casablanca Records.

Tracklist:

‘Femen’
‘Fleece’
‘Char’
‘Enth’
‘Sadist’
‘Teach Her How to Hunt’
‘Chloroform’
‘Frail’
‘Concrete’
‘Ornament’
‘Kept’
‘Their Kindness Is Charade’
