Deadmau5 hints at first official album release in two years

In response to a recent fan-Tweet, Deadmau5 may have confirmed the release of his 8th studio album. Unnamed as of now, the record’s first official single appears to be his April preview, “Snowcone“.

Following the successful While(1<2), I think we all can assume newest compilation will continue down the warped path he’s successfully showcased through his SoundCloud spree this past Spring. Aside from being one of the most anticipated records of 2016, this announcement will also serve as Deadmau5’s first official release of 2016, period.

“SnowCone” experiments heavily with a sturdy hiphop foundation, intangled with Deadmau5’s iconic progressive infastructure. Originally distributed last April, the mastered version displayed below truly heightens the song’s original core while adding a tighter, unclouded sample than before. Being his first abum in two years, we can only hope the wait time won’t be as erratic as his recent recording annoucements have been.
