Home Uncategorized DJ Fresh announces official retirement from touring

Broke through the scene as a part of the drum and bass group Bad Company, DJ Fresh has certainly been one of this industry’s highly successful producers and disc jockeys. The English artist has been most notably known for his innovative releases, including “Gold Dust”, “Louder”, and “Hot Right Now”.

Throughout his career, DJ Fresh has also collaborated with some of the most prominent names in the business such as Diplo for the club banger “Earthquake” and Ellie Goulding for “Flashlight”. In addition to his work in the studio, the longstanding DJ has also garnered a vast amount of support for his live performances all across the globe.

However, after such an illustrious career behind the decks, DJ Fresh has officially announced that he will be retiring from touring. Similar to Swedish superstar Avicii, who recently stated that he will no longer tour as well, DJ Fresh is about to end his tenure as a DJ due to “health and life” reasons. He also added that he does not want to be a part of the electronic music scene since he believes it is “fake, soul destroying and promotes everything but experimentation and heartfelt emotion”.

Despite his perspective on what this industry has become, it is still sad to see another legend hang the headphones up. From his full statement below, we are uncertain whether his production career would also be affected but unfortunately his time is up in terms of touring around the world and providing incredible shows day in and day out.
