Eric Prydz’ iconic Midnight City remix turns 4 years old

Nothing quite compares to the kind of stuff that Eric Prydz quite frequently comes up with in his studio and the ever charming remix of M83‘s breakthrough track ‘Midnight City‘ from 2012 is undoubtedly one of the best works from his studio to have ever aligned with the mainstream. Released just a year after the release date of the original from the French Electronic band, there was no doubt that the track was bound for the peak of the charts around the world, given how well the original had done. And what could an Electronic Music listener love more than have Eric Prydz run his magic on one of the mainstream hits. Prydz’ reluctance to head through to rework mainstream tracks also showcases that there ought to be something he noticed in this 2011 hit.

As for now, the track’s distant expression of nostalgia and late night vibes are perfectly reminiscent of the music that was being churned out by the top notch artists of 2012. Unlikely to go out of fashion in coming future with the Electronic listeners, the remix is deservedly celebrated by the community for the memories attached to it.
