Untold Festival launches Blood donation Campaign

The festival lifestyle has become an essential part of every person around the world, especially ahead of the season, which welcomes the biggest music events throughout the globe. Many have initiated campaigns in support of different communities, tourism, networking and social initiatives, showing that the pleasure of music can be combined with great causes.

One of those is Untold Festival‘s remarkable blood donation initiative, which earned them a Silver Drum back in 2015. Resulting in more than 3100 lives saved, the festival was able to award over 1500 volunteers, who “paid” for their ticket by donating blood to those in need. Romania is one of the 3 bottom countries in Europe in terms of blood donation, as only 1.7% of its population volunteer for that.

2016 will once again host this campaign, which aims at generating awareness for the scarcity of blood donations in the country. Fans are invited to visit one of transfusion centers in the country between July 7 – 29 and those who donate will earn themselves a code for a greatly discounted ticket to this year’s Festival. Locations & full info can be found here.

Mobile caravans will stop by in Cluj Napoca on 15, 16 & 17 of July, as well as the country’s capital – Bucharest from 18 to 20 of July. Blood-donors will be able to receive a free ticket for Day 1 of the Festival, which welcomes names such as DJs #1 in the world – Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as well as Tiesto & Faithless, to name a few.

The initiative is a great example on how music fans can contribute to the community and save lives, while earning themselves the opportunity to see some of their favorite DJs Live.

The 2016th edition of Untold Festival will be held from August 4th to August 7th in Cluj Napoca, Romania. This year’s edition welcomes the top 5 DJ’s in the world – Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto & Hardwell, as well as giants such as Afrojack, Faithless, Scooter, Rudimental, Sasha and many others.
