Martin Garrix is a young Dutch sensation and his closing of Tomorrowland’s main stage for the first time was truly special.

Garrix rose to another level of fame at the young age of 18 after signing deals with Spinnin’ Records & Scooter Braun’s management which includes stars such as Steve Angello and Kanye West. This gave him a huge platform to showcase his music to the world and yes, the world loved it! With these deals, he was able to approach stars such as Usher & Ed Sheeran to collaborate on tracks together, as well as working with lesser-known talent such as Justin Mylo & Mesto. This in turn has made reasoned him to be great addition to the dance music industry, and deserving of some credit for the rise of dance music globally.

Martin Garrix’s closing set celebrated his success in the industry and included tracks from the early days such as “Animals” and “Gold Skies” to recent tracks such as “Lions in the Wild” as well as many unreleased IDs. He also added to his set list fan-favourites to create a loud atmosphere such as Drake’s “Hotline Bling”, Disclosure’s “Latch” & Major Lazer’s “Lean On”.

The set started off with an instrumental intro of “Tremor”, subsequently followed by many more of Martin Garrix’ track’s such as “Helicopter”, “Dragon” and “Don’t Look Down” to name a few. Overall, clearly showing his versatility as a producer by being able to play so many of his own tracks. Towards the end of the set, he played a few of his tracks from his new record label, STMPD records. These include “Oops” and “Now That I’ve Found You”.

The last track of the night was his new collaboration with vocalist Bebe Rexha “Name of Love”. This showed off a praised and fresher Martin Garrix sound & style and was topped off with a massive fireworks show.
