Armin van Buuren confirms new Gaia album in the works

The number one Trance DJ in the world – Armin van Buuren confirmed he will be releasing an album under his mysterious alias, GAIA.

It might be a surprise to many, but the project is actually 16 years old, starting all the way back in the year 2000 by Armin himself. 9 years later, one-half of the legendary duo Rank 1 – Benno  de Goeij joined the team. As a result, the trance scene earned itself some of the most memorable trance tracks such as “Tuvan”, the ASOT 500 official anthem – “Status Excessu D”,  “J’ai Envie De Toi”, “Empire Of Hearts”; all the way to the most recent – “Inyathi”.

Back in 2014, the pair debuted as a live act, performing at Ultra Music Festival 2014 during the A State of Trance 650 tour, whilst in 2016 they took over Electric Daisy Carnival in the most colorful Las Vegas.

During the highly successful Creamfields weekend this past week , Armin van Buuren took on a Q&A session on his facebook page, resulting in the official announcement of him working on a GAIA album.

Having kicked off his Armin Only Embrace world tour, as well as releasing an “Old-Skool” mini album, the dutch phenomenon is continually proving that he is unstoppable. Although the details at this point are too scarce, we sure are hoping for a jam-packed CD with exclusive, brand-new Gaia material.

It is only a matter of time until we know more, and most importantly if the two who “make music and wear leather hoodies” will introduce the secrets of GAIA to the global trance family through a world tour.
