Duke Dumont – For Club Play Only 4
Duke Dumont has been absolutely killing it in the dance music scene for quite a number of years now. The house music producer has had some massive chart hits over the years and now he’s back with a brand new EP for us to feast our ears on. The release is entitled “For Club Play Only 4” and as usual is a banging slice of deep house cuts from the Brit.
“Be Here” is the first track on the EP and features an absolutely sublime bass line and a number of exquisite brass orchestration used on top of a groovy drum loop. The vocals are catchy as hell and will no doubt work wonders in the club as well as at a festival. This track definitely has the potential for crossover appeal and don’t be overly surprised if you hear this on the radio very shortly. A perfect sunset tune if ever there was one.
The second track one the EP is called “Worship” which rightfully held the place of Pete Tong’s essential new tune not too long ago. Going down a darker, deeper and dirtier route than “Be Here”. A dark-room destroyer, the main hook here is a fantastic swaying, swooning arpeggiated synth which works well against the sinister bass line. This synth melody rises and escalated before quickly dropping into a monstrous deep groove. The track is very special during the break downs when the melancholy feel really comes through. One of those tracks that can put you in a trance and some fantastic production from Mr. Dumont.
