Kadian – Superstylin’ 2016

Undoubtedly one of the rising names from the quickly emerging sphere of Electronic Dance Music in China, Kadian has been getting quite some attention in the recent times. Based in Shanghai, the Future House producer has had his releases recognized by big labels like Armin van Buuren‘s Armada Deep under the Armada Music handle and by Hardwell‘s Revealed Recordings, all in under the small time of a year. When that seemingly portrays the question ‘What more can an upcoming artist ask for?,’ recently Kadian signed a deal with VOUS Records, owned and run by another Shanghai based artist and big name label owner Spencer Tarring.

What is invigorating about VOUS Records is that the label is not just a label. It defines and invades, as a platform for music, the entire night life in clubs across Shanghai. With Spencer already having established himself in the city, he is on the constant lookout for up and coming potential producers and DJs from the city. And after signing Kadian into his plans, Spencer seems to have landed the ‘big deal’ emerging out of the East. Much more is expected to come from the label and the producer.

And Kadian is looking to expand his outreach with an exciting free download. Giving it a unique twist in his own peculiar manner, he takes on Groove Armada’s 2001 hit ‘Superstylin,’ updating and up-grooving it to 2016’s terms. Bound to take over clubs across Shanghai, as has been the case with previous releases, the remix also carries a personal twist to it as admittedly he made it because he needed “[his] own version of it”.
