Home Kygo performs onstage during the Olympics’ closing ceremony

During the closing ceremonies of this year’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Norwegian artist Kygo had his name written down on the history books by delivering a performance with millions of people tuning in. With the gargantuan amount of viewers from across the globe, Kygo called it his ‘biggest performance’ yet, which would certainly be hard to argue.

The tropical house producer was joined by singer Julia Michaels and performed their collaboration titled “Carry Me”. This feat was truly astounding as it showcases how far electronic music has flourished in the last decade or so. Tiësto’s monumental performance back in 2004’s Olympics opening ceremony in Athens opened the doors for many aspiring producers in the industry and thus, Kygo’s appearance on such a massive stage is quite the accomplishment to have.
