Octave One feat. Ann Saunderson – Just Don’t Speak

Detroit’s Octave One are a techno duo synonymous with quality music and have been since the late eighties. The brothers have released groundbreaking underground dance anthems on their own Detroit-based record label and their most recognized hit ‘Blackwater’ has appeared on over thirty compilation albums worldwide with sales exceeding one million collectively. The massive dance anthem ‘Blackwater’ features their long time collaborator Ann Saunderson who lends her divine vocals to the brand new track by the legendary techno duo.

The track titled ‘Just Don’t Speak‘ has no less than three lush mixes and you’re in for a treat as the track is incredible in each and every version. The summer tune has already received repeated support from dance music legend Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, who played the world exclusive on his show. Also featured on ‘Just Don’t Speak’ are the Urban Soul Orchestra (USO) who also collaborated on ‘Blackwater’. USO succeeded in adding a unique twist to the track with their contemporary string ensemble.

‘Just Don’t Speak’ offers subtle but joyous piano chords and the listening experience is enhanced by Ann’s emotive and elastic vocals. An instrumental version places even more focus on the uplifting and driving groove, and a dub version strips things back to the infectious percussion and bold drum lines. In addition to the original version check out the Blue Sunset Instrumental, Midnight Sun Dub and Blue Sunset Radio Edit. Divine listening.
