Steve Angello speaks out about the future of Size Records and the current state of mainstream dance music

Home Uncategorized Steve Angello speaks out about the future of Size Records and the current state of mainstream dance music

In terms of mainstream dance music, Steve Angello always tries his best to stay ahead of the curve . Taking to Twitter over the weekend the Swedish producer revealed upcoming plans for the remainder of the year on his record label- SIZE. Steve said that there will be “About 2 albums, 5 EP’s and 6 Singles” for fans to get a hold of before the year is out, which is definitely an exciting prospect as SIZE is known for the top quality electronic music.

Whether or not Steve himself will be releasing new music is unknown yet, but as the producer hasn’t released anything since the second part of his debut album “Wild Youth” in January we’re hoping that he’s got something planned as there is definitely some unreleased tunes which we’d love to hear soon.

Airing his voice on the state of mainstream dance music, Angello was posed with the question “Don’t you like Axwell & Ingrosso? all EDM fans want the Swedish House Mafia to come back” to which he sarcastically replied  “Are the Swedish House Mafia still touring? Or am I missing something?” This would indicate his desire to distance himself from his former collaborators and as mainstream dance music grows more and more into pop culture, we can also definitely understand Steve’s decision to want to move away from his SHM past.
