Avicii posts heartfelt message to his fans

It’s the end of an era. Being only 26 of age, Avicii hung up his touring boots by performing his last live show at Ushuaia last Sunday. It was an emotive act, not only for himself but also for his fans. At the of his performance he used the opportunity to thank each and everyone who attended the show as well as accompanied him over the years and stated that he couldn’t imagine a better ending.

As previously reported, Avicii came to this decision due to the lack of time for other personal interests. He wished to have time for himself, for the person, who is actually behind the power-brand Avicii. He took to Facebook earlier this year and announced his termination of his touring career. Nevertheless, to step away completely from music is not in his mind. He declared that he will still be active as a producer and hopefully be able to release new music.

In a recent social media post, Avicii looked back at his final show and had some warm words to say:

This sunday was my last show. But far from my last days in the world of music. Creating music is what makes me happy and I have gotten to know so many great people in my days of touring, seen so many amazing places and created endless of good memories. The decision I made might seem odd to some but everyone is different and for me this was the right one. Thank you to all my fans, my friends and family and everyone in the aviciicrew/family. This has been our journey together. ❤️

In fact, he’s not  leaving music at all all, just the touring aspect. An introvert at heart, Bergling intends on using his free time for even more music production, and is even considering writing songs for other artists in addition to finishing a third album of music. He even stated, “I can’t say I’m never going to have a show again,” meaning that there’s a likely chance of seeing him live again sometime in the future.
