The Chainsmokers feat Halsey – Closer (Slushii Remix)

Julian Scanlan, better know by his stage name Slushii, is a 19 year old dynamite taking the industry by storm with his uniquely structured beats and fan-loving crowd appeal. A new member to the Red Light Management family, Slushii’s one of a kind future sound has truly surpassed any musical limitation out there. From his chart topping “Disarm You” remix, to his VIP flip of “Want U 2” with fellow signee Marshmello, it seems there’s nothing he can’t successfully take on.

The Chainsmokers summer anthem, “Closer”, is Billboard’s breaking single that hasn’t slowed down since its release back in July of this year. With countless producers mixing the hit in hopes to get as much, or more attention than the original, has not been an easy task. Released earlier this week, Slushii revealed to the world his take on the hit and all signs point to total domination.

In short, this song is everywhere. In the past 8 hours since its official SoundCloud release, the song has acquired over 100k plays and, with all the publicity surrounding it, highlights the young producers strengths on where his music may be headed for the rest of this year.

Keeping the powerful harmonies intact, Slushii pushed the vocals just enough to cohesively blend with his futuristic synth work. From the top of the track, we notice a change in opening, all encompassed under a beautiful piano medly that fades out toward the end of the mix. Easy to listen to, catchy, and an allover impressive display of production technique, Slushii did a fantastic job with this.
