Home Uncategorized Electric Zoo expands with the announcement of their first festival in China

Over the past number of years Electric Zoo has grown to become one of the strongest and one of the best festivals around. Only starting just over 7 years ago back in 2009, the American festival has always been the biggest event on Labour Day weekend and has even evolved from it’s New York home to also host an event in Mexico City as well as in Japan. However the brand has decided to widen their image and appeal with a new festival planned to be taking place in China. This follows on from a number of other dance music events who’ve made the move to Asia such as Ultra who have a number of festivals in the region as well as EDC who are planning an event in India also.

Hitting Shanghai on November 12th, the one day event is being called “Electric Zoo: Countdown Shanghai.” Adam Richman, SVP of Made Event-New York and director of Electric Zoo at SFX Entertainment had this to say about the event: “Electric Zoo Countdown is the perfect introduction of our brand to China and will be the stepping stone to bigger editions of Electric Zoo throughout Asia,”

As usual we’re expecting some big things in terms of the lineup and the production but judging on EZoo’s past festivals, we’re sure they’re going to throw a cracking party.
