Exclusive: Dirtcaps – Smack That

After recently being featured on the “Barong Family Album” with collaborations with Yellow Claw and Mightyfools, Dirtcaps have returned with their latest bass hitter, “Smack That.”

The track carries the familiar sound of the Dutch trap scene that has been taking over clubs and dance floors in recent months, blending hard bass and snares with an upbeat tempo.

Starting with a gradual build featuring a snare loop, the track soon gives way to some catchy synth work takes the listener into the heavy-hitting, synth-driven drop. The record truly hits its stride on the second stanza with a reworking of the breakdown that features an authentic, true “Trap” sound, blending chopped beats with heavy snares and synths.

‘Smack That’ was always destined to be a hard-hitting record. We simply had one goal: to create a bone-crushing Trap anthem. So we just went straight for the most heavy duty, ear-splitting, and in-your-face sounds we could find and built something so colossal it can only do some serious damage in the clubs.
