KSHMR responds to allegations of him stealing music from an unknown producer
KSHMR and Tigerlily‘s latest collaboration just made its way onto the web and it was welcomed with positive responses. However, shortly after fans noticed a similarity between ‘Invisible Children‘ and a track from little known producer Jango, titled ‘IndiRasta’. There were common elements in both tracks and critics were quick to jump the gun and accuse KSHMR of stealing Jango’s tune.
Hear the similarities for yourself…
KSHMR took to Instagram to put out the fire rather quickly, offering a simple explanation to the whole confusion.

I've seen a lot of comments about Invisible Children and the track IndiRasta by Jango. Here I will clear the air: First of all, I agree — they sound alike. This is mainly because we used the same vocal sample from the Indian Vocal Sessions sound pack. We also used a similar bassline, which even to me is strange. But I promise you, it's just coincidence. I never heard Jango's track until Invisible Children came out and people alerted me. It is true that artists of stature often profit from the ideas of others… But that is not me. All respect to Jango, you can find his Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/jangomania/ -KSHMR
He quickly explains why there are similarities with Jango’s tune and even credits him. Knowing KSHMR and his respectable work ethic, we can be sure all this was just an honest mistake.
