Major Lazer Ft. Justin Bieber & MØ – Cold Water (Teamworx Remix)

Major Lazer have had another huge year in 2016, largely due to the success of their Justin Bieber and MØ -assisted summer smash “Cold Water”. The chart topping piece has taken on a second life through a big number of official remixes it has generated. Artists like Lost Frequenies, Afrojack or Boombox Cartel have tried their hand at flipping the single, just to name a few of them. The most recent duo to join them is Israel based Teamworx.

Teamworx are outstanding remixers, whereas their mint for quality in that particular department is seldom topped. Having recently proffered the key laden “Make The Crowd Go”, which showed presence during the whole summer on alsmost every major festival and a stunning remix for The Weekend’s “Can’t Feel My Face”, the upcoming producers strike up their A-game for their latest spin. Debuted last weekend on Hardwell On Air 284 and Dannic’s Fonk Radio 002, an unsurprising club-powered blast pushes the crossover hit to new heights.

The supple layering and smooth melodic transitions speak for another typical fresh and club ready remix from the undisputed ascenders, pushing a more focussed and groove-inspired side to Teamworx’ multifaceted studio guise. The fact that Teamworx have enjoyed such a long hot streak of remixes as well as originals without a single sign of exhaustion says everything that needs to be said about the state of this often under- appreciated virtuosos and their footprint in the global dance market in 2016.
