Zedd delivers with League of Legends theme “Ignite”

The 2016 League of Legends World Championship kicks off this Thursday, September 29th. The month long journey includes Esports most competitive gamers taking part in group challenges, all leading up to the finale, held this year at Los Angeles own STAPLES center. The holy grail in terms of gaming competitions, the League of Legends championship awards its champion with the Summoner’s Cup, an honor some await the entire year for.

With all the hype surrounding the event, it’s only natural the advertisements and social media marketing be as such. Fans have patiently awaited the reveal and the time has finally come; Producing this years theme song is none other than EDM royalty, Zedd.

The 2016 League of Legends anthem, “Ignite”, is an over 4 minute future house tune distributed alongside a music video highlighting the top moments of the last 5 years of the championship. With a powerful sound similar to Zedd’s 2011 Clarity, “Ignite” encompasses perfected beat sequences and intense breaks filled with high energy hooks. With vocals from American recording artist Tim James, the song’s atmosphere cohesively blends with the arena it narrates. An overall clever track, Zedd did a fantastic job building a monster drop, big enough for gamers and electronic music lovers alike.
