Calum Scott – Dancing On My Own (Tiësto Remix)

There’s a certain level of care that must be taken when remixing a class song. Calum Scott‘s divine “Dancing On My Own” is one such example. Contesting on Britain’s Got Talent and releasing his own version of “Dancing On My Own,” the track remains a favorite amongst his cult-like following.

With such an ambitious task before him, none other than Tiësto decided to keep the light-hearted feel of the original production and put a dance spin to it. The result is a catchy, uplifting track which embraces Calum’s magnificent voice throughout the song. Respect must be given to Tiësto for his dedication to the “F*ck genres” narrative he has represented in the last couple of years. Simple and mellow, Tiësto leaves plenty of room for Calum’s smooth, airy vocals during the verses and break while building the presence of the glossy guitar riffs in the drop.

Tiësto uses slow envelopes to match the soft vocals, together evoking the lazy and comfortable feelings that accompany the early hours of the morning after a fantastic night. His brand new remix for the rising singer throws the heavyweight DJ and producer back into the spotlight with the signature elegance and intuitive musical work we have come to expect from him.
