Spotify announces the most streamed song in history

Major Lazer no longer reigns – Canadian hip-hop superstar Drake has recently taken the throne of having the “most streamed song in Spotify history” with one of his latest hits: “One Dance”.

Drake has surpassed Major Lazer, DJ Snake, and MØ‘s major hit “Lean On” (526 million streams). Drake‘s track “One Dance” (880 million streams) topped “Lean On” by a whooping 354 million streams. Meanwhile, Drake‘s Spotify account has accumulated an astonishing 8 billion total plays.

Even though Drake has surpassed Major Lazer and DJ Snake on Spotfiy, the iconic track “Lean On” still has the edge on Drake with 1.7 billion views on YouTube.
