Dannic

Watch: Dannic creates a track in only one hour

If you’ve been following the electro house scene over the past number of years then we’ve no doubt you’ve heard of Dutch DJ/Producer Dannic. The Breda native has quickly risen through the ranks to become one of the most sought after producers in the world, and today we’ve been given a sneak peak into his production processes during a lightning fast, hour long track creation video.

During the video, we can see how quickly Dannic can get into the flow using a few shortcuts such as having a ready made kick and using plugins such as Nexus to quickly sketch down a basic idea which will kickstart the production process. We soon learn that Dannic doesn’t know how to play piano either but just goes with what sounds good which should act as inspiration for anyone looking to get into production who doesn’t know how to play the keyboard. We soon see how Dannic layers his sounds and structures the track in general which makes it easier for the track to be produced and generally helps in terms of workflow and creativity. By the end, we can see that the track sounds very rough but the basic fundamentals are there which shows how quick and easily a track in this nature can be produced.
