David Puentez

Tove Lo – Cool Girl (David Puentez & MTS Edit)

David Puentez has rightfully earned his way onto our radars over the past year or so. Native to the European nation of Germany, his studio production has gained attention and support by the likes of Alesso, Axwell, Hardwell, Martin Garrix and Sebastian Ingrosso. Not a bad list at all.

Covering a broad spectrum of sub-genres within dance music, the best of his 64-track collection has been featured on a multitude of podcasts and festival stages. Notable occurrences being the topping of Sirius BPM chart for 15 weeks, as well as Coachella, EDC, Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival.

Now globe-trotting the world renowned cities with his work, he frequently plays on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Also a consistent appearance in the Beatport Charts throughout the year, his loyal following certainly appreciate David Puentez’ portfolio diversity, quality and personal charisma.

Familiar with the likes of Armada Trice and Spinnin’ Records, his reputed remixing efforts include names such as Flo Rida, Martin Garrix, Martin Solvieg and MØ. Each drawing in tens of thousands of plays, his attention to detail in musical composition has seen him featured on Tiesto’s iconic ‘Club Life’ podcast.

Once again teaming up with DJ/Producer MTS, the taking on of Tove Lo’s radio hit “Cool Girl” is no easy task. Given its soft vocal tones and distinctive instrumental underlay, reinventing for the clubs takes considerable craft and imagination. Reformatting it into a Bass House banger with Big Room tendencies, David Punetez’ combination with the Swiss maestro is worth its weight in gold.
