The MTV’s Europe Music Awards hold some of the most prestigious awards within the entire music industry. Last year, the EMA’s took place in Milan in which we witnessed Dutch superstar Martin Garrix take home the prize for Best Electronic Act. Will he take home the award again this year? To find out, be sure to tune in to the 2016 EMA’s, which will take place in Rotterdam.

This year’s nominated artists for Best Electronic Act include some familiar faces from 2015 as Scottish icon Calvin Harris, French legend David Guetta, the formidable trio of Major Lazer, and the returning Martin Garrix were all voted in alongside Dutch maestro Afrojack. With this list of incredible talents, who each had a successful year, it would be quite difficult to pinpoint who will go home with the trophy this time.

Garrix was also nominated for the Best World Stage award, as well as one of the biggest electronic music festivals worldwide, Tomorrowland. Another award to keep an eye for would be the Best Video award in which The Weeknd’s massive collaboration with the legendary Daft Punk titled “Starboy” is nominated.

The live broadcast of the 2016 EMA’s will begin at 7pm CET from the Red Carpet and the awards show will commence at 9pm CET. You can check out the live stream here.
