BBC Radio 1 announce a star-studded lineup for their 2017 residency series

BBC’s Radio 1 are well known to be one of the best radio stations in the world. Their focus on dance music in particular has helped bring the sound to hundreds of thousands the world over, and shows such as the legendary Essential Mix have served to give a musical education to many over two decades. Their Thursday night residency has proven to be very popular over the years with the likes of Oliver Heldens and more underground names such as George Fitzgerald at the helm.

Their 2016 run of shows is ending very soon, and the radio show finally announced the lineup of names for 2017, and it’s safe to say it looks like their best lineup yet. Including massive names from the likes of deadmau5 to Kolsch as well as some lesser known names such as Helena Hauff who’ll be bringing the best sounds of the underground to the airwaves. The Radio 1 Residency has been a fantastic place to discover new music over the years and gives us an amazing insight into the tastes of some of our favourite artists. The show will be returning to its Thursday night slot running from 10-2am.
