Calvin Harris & Rihanna’s hit “This Is What You Came For” reaches one billion views

Calvin Harris has just achieved what many musicians in general often wildly dream about and never achieve. Having had several No.1 placings around the world, and consistently achieving notable and credible achievements with each release, there is little left for the Scottish DJ/Producer not to have completed.

Finally reaching the one billion mark for a single video on YouTube, his smash hit with Rihanna “This Is What You Came For” just crossed the fabled mark. A credit to the effort he and his team but into the visual accompaniment to his crafted tracks, it has taken comfortably under six months to reach the number.

Becoming only the third track from the electronic dance music genre to reach the status, Calvin Harris joins peers Avicii and Major Lazer for their own tracks, “Wake Me Up” and “Lean On“. And with his latest release, “My Way“, getting over 70 million views in under six weeks, his form on YouTube continues to have a leading presence for dance music as a whole.

The latest accomplishment comes only a few months after he and Rihanna recieved the first ,and only, Diamond certification by the RIAA for a dance music track (“We Found Love”), back in September.
