2016 has undoubtedly been an incredible year for The Chainsmokers, with international chart-topping hits such as “Closer” with Halsey and “All We Know” with singer Phoebe Ryan, amongst others. The duo have performed astonishingly well throughout the year, and have won multiple awards for their music, and their latest achievement is quite a notable one.

Although their #1 charting on the Billboard Hot 100 with hit record “Closer” has ended after a 12 week reign and is now at #3, the track has not seen the end of its charting days. Beating the sensational trio Swedish House Mafia and their hit single “Don’t You Worry Child’s” previous record of 16 weeks as #1 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, “Closer” manages to top off with a whopping 17 weeks. If history repeating itself says anything, the New York-based duo have a very high chance of keeping their leading position for a very very long time.

2017 bodes well for The Chainsmokers, and we’re excited to see what the boys have coming up in the future. Meanwhile, take a listen to “Closer” below if you haven’t already.
