BPM Festival make official statement regarding shooting
Earlier today, news reached us that BPM Festival had this year been home to a horrific tragedy, when a lone shooter caused devastation outside the event. Following this, the festival has made an official statement via their Facebook, outlining the upsetting scenes and clarifying facts regarding what went on.
The shooting occurred outside the Blue Parrot Nightclub in Playa Del Carmen, where revelers were enjoying the final night of BPM Festival, which was celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The official statement from the festival confirms that the shooting resulted in four fatalities which included three members of their security team, who were trying to protect patrons at the time.
News of the shooting quickly spread to social media when Jackmaster took to Twitter to advise attendees to stay away from the event, where he had performed earlier on that night. The festival which should have been a celebration instead descended into a tragedy during its final night, with a vicious attack which has without doubt left both dance music fans and the rest of the world reeling in horror.
Someone has come into the club in Playa Del Carmen and opened fire. 4-5 dead and many wounded. Stay in ur fuckin hotel if you're here at BPM
