Jonas Blue nominated for two BRIT awards
Guy James Robin, better known as Jonas Blue, has been on a roll ever since he made his first major appearance in 2015. In fact, he has achieved over a billion streams and sold over 10 million single globally last year. He has successfully set a new record for British debut artists. To start off 2017, he has received 2 of the most coveted BRIT Award nominations – “British Single” and “British Artist Video of the Year” for his track “Fast Car.”
Jonas kicked off 2016 with his ground-shaking remix of Tracy Chapman‘s classic track “Fast Car.” Its mellow melodic progression perfectly complements the song’s captivating vocals. His remix has sold over 6 million singles worldwide and went on to become the biggest-selling single globally from a debut British artist. Furthermore, the music video for “Fast Car” gained over 213 million Youtube hits over the past 12 months.
The video features a sun-soaked desert with what seems to be a wild wild west setting. The two actors emphasized the eagerness and the craving of freedom and an unrestrained way of living through a climactic turn of events throughout the video. Check it out below!
