Marshmello set for series of UK performances
Having taken the world by storm over the last couple of years, enigmatic producer Marshmello has been a talking point for dance music fans all over the world. With his identity hidden by his iconic enclosed marshmallow helmet; the producer is still regarded a mystery by many.
Now, the Mello man himself will be embarking on his very own headline UK performances for a series of very special shows, landing in Liverpool on Friday 10th February at O2 Academy Liverpool. The event, which will be run by Liverpudlian dance music heavyweights Cream, sees the masked producer return to the country for the first time since his groundbreaking performance in the Steel Yard at last year’s Creamfields.
Experiencing almost immediate acclaim upon launching the act in March 2015, Marshmello was crowned Beatport’s “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” and quickly garnered a global following, dubbed as his ‘Mellogang’. His recent tour of the States sold out huge arenas nationwide and saw his debut album ‘Joytime’ shoot straight to the #1 spot on the first day of release in the iTunes Electronic Albums chart and steaming into the Top 5 of Billboard’s Dance Chart.
Both a critical and commercial success, ‘Joytime’ has proved Marshmello’s prowess as a songwriter and producer with crossover potential and has seen him work with fellow dance music heavyweights Skrillex, Diplo, Avicii and Zedd to name a few. His most recent release, ‘Ritual’ has so far amassed over 10m views on YouTube, whilst previous release ‘Alone’ has already garnered over 65m.
Tickets for the event can be purchased here, and with the US producer making his London debut the following night at London’s legendary Ministry of Sound in an event powered by dance giants Together, it’s going to be a weekend you simply can’t afford to miss! Marshmello will be joined by Digital Farm Animals, Jack Francis and very special guests Delta Heavy.
So join the Mellogang now in what promises to be an unforgettable 48 hours at these iconic venues!
