All in all, in the company of releases from Tiesto’s latest venture AFTR:HRS, Oxygen, Musical Freedom, Maxximize and Hexagon Records, Spinnin’s own releases add to the list potential hit releases and fan favorites.

Dante Klein‘s guestmix only adds to the spectacular curation that the mix becomes with music from Dillon Francis, DVBBS, Yellow Claw, Bakermat, TV Noise and TastyTreat making its presence in the second half of the hour-long mix. His time on air kicks off with an exclusive play of his upcoming track ‘Harder’ which features singer/songwriter HAILZ on the vocals. What’s more is that we had fruitful interview with the Dutchman where he talks about his successful collaboration with Cheat Codes, his upcoming track ‘Harder’, his plans for the coming year and also gives a few pieces of advice for the young producers out there.

Tune into the exclusive Spinnin’ Sessions episode #192 below as you read along our conversation with today’s on-air sensation.

Your previous collaboration with Cheat Codes, “Turn Me On” became one of the biggest summer hits of 2016, racking up over 200M streams on Spotify. How did that collaboration come to life? Did you envision the track to be as successful as it became?

Last year I was in the studio thinking about doing a cover of Kevin Lyttle’s “Turn me on”. So I found this acapella online which I used as a guide vocal for the production. I made the track around that vocal and sent it to Spinnin’. They loved the track and introduced me to the Cheat Codes guys. And that’s where we started emailing back and forth which lead to the end result of Let me hold you (turn me on). When we finished the track I really thought it had potential. But I never thought we would reach the global top 50 and 200 million streams.

You’ve come a long way since your inaugural gig at the annual Amsterdam Dance Event in 2015; and making your Tomorrowland debut just one year later. How has the journey been so far? Have you faced any obstacles throughout the years, and how have you overcome them?

The journey has been insane so far! There will always be many obstacles in the music industry though no matter what. In the past year I learned so much and I’m still learning everyday, both on the business side and the creative side. It’s an amazing process.

Your new vocal single “Harder” featuring HAILZ was recently featured on Spinnin’ Records’ Future Hits of 2017. Tell us more about the track and how it all came about. Can we expect it anytime soon?

Last year, I had a full week of writing new songs in our studio in Los Angeles and I had the opportunity to write with this amazing team. That’s where I wrote Harder together with Hailey Collier, Peter Hanna and Francci Richard. I love to work in LA because of the amazing vibe. I get so much inspiration from that place. Hailey is also the one you hear singing and who will be having an amazing 2017 I’m sure as ‘HAILZ’.

What was it like to collaborate with Sam Feldt earlier last year on the impressive “Feels Like Home” featured on his EP? Tell us more about the production process behind the track and how the two of you met. Can we expect more collaborations in the future with Sam?

Sam and I have been friends before we even were Sam Feldt and Dante Klein. We hang out almost every week and one time during dinner we decided to do a song together. After a couple of days in the studio we came up with the track and sent it to Milow who wrote and “sang” the amazing vocals. I think you can definitely expect some more music from  me and sam in the future!

Have there been times in the studio when you felt like you’ve run out of ideas/directions to go in with a particular sound? If so, how have you dealt with it in the past? Any advice you can offer to producers who face the same issue?

When I run out of ideas or inspiration. I always take a break from making music for a day or a couple of hours and just listen to new music, watch movies or go out with friends. I also get so much inspiration simply by going to festivals and clubs- just dancing and listening to the dj. We all inspire each other in the end !

What are your plans for the upcoming year? What can we expect with regards to new music? Any tours/festivals scheduled?

I have so much music coming up! I Really cant wait to show everybody all the new tracks I have made in the past year. you can expect a lot of radio music and also some club tracks. I am looking forward to my first US shows in Miami in March and then some Asia shows and of course the Festival Summer in Europe !!

Dante Klein‘s single ‘Harder‘ featuring HAILZ will be available on Spinnin’ Records on January 13.
