Spotify releases 2017 Coachella playlist
With Coachella standing tall as one of North America’s biggest music festivals, the lineup is usually a melting pot for the year’s biggest, and most influential artists. With 2016’s headliners like Guns N’ Roses, Calvin Harris, LCD Soundsystem, Jack Ü, ASAP Rocky and more, 2017 definitely had huge shoes to fill. Held in Indio, California, 2017’s 3-day, two-weekend extravaganza is sure to please the pallet of every attendee.
Headlining this year is none of than the queen herself, Beyoncé, followed by Radiohead, and Kendrick Lamar. With a slue of other notable performances by Lorde, Bassnectar, NGHTMRE, DJ Snake, and many more, the hype behind this year’s festivities is at an all time high. In honor of it all, leave it to Spotify to create a playlist loaded with the artists and the singles that have gotten them to this level of stardom. The eleven-hour playlist consists of 140 tracks from the performing artists, with genres ranging from electronic music to indie.
As the festival is already (obviously) sold out, this musical warm up is the perfect concoction for concertgoers to get their excitement up for Coachella, and create jealousy for those forced to listen from the comfort of their homes. Regardless of where it happens, Spotify did a supreme job putting the playlist together. Take a listen below.
