Carl Cox retires Global Radio Show after 16 years

Dance music icon Carl Cox needs no introduction, standing tall as a true legend and true pioneer of one of the world’s largest genres. The highly esteemed DJ has finally decided to retire his long-time running Global Radio Show, after a whopping 16 years and 722 episodes. Racking up over 27 million listeners weekly worldwide, the show has witnessed an entire era of dance music, and will be sorely missed by fans.

Carl shared the terminal episode of the show via Mixcloud, accompanied with some touching words from the legend himself. “Thank you to every single one of you for listening over the last 16 years, and hope this mix tides you over until we meet on a a dance floor again soon.”

Carl Cox recently has also retired from his long-standing residency at the former Space Ibiza, but has locked down dates at Privilege Ibiza this summer, as well as multiple festival slots at Ultra Miami and Time Warp.
