Since entering the dance music scene, Promise Land have successfully established themselves as two of the most prolific and talented producers in this industry. Hailing from Rome, Italy, this duo has excelled in honing their craft and delivering brilliant and high-quality music productions.

Promise Land held an incredible 2016 campaign with several releases under some of the top record labels in the business such as DOORN Records and Flamingo Recordings. Through these imprints, the Italian artists dropped their masterful tracks, including their collaboration with Daddy’s Groove called “Scratchin’”, and their originals “X-Press” and, most recently, “Whoomp”.

With the success of these releases, Promise Land’s career has propelled toward entirely new heights and is now set to advance even more in 2017. Additionally, as a result of their undeniable hard work and creativity, Promise Land has gained the support of the likes of Tiësto, Steve Angello, Hardwell, and Axwell Λ Ingrosso.

Discussing their overall career and their latest productions, Promise Land recently had an exclusive interview with We Rave You. The duo also talked about some of their goals and plans for 2017, including a potential collaboration with NEW_ID. Check out the full interview below.

Talk to us about your latest release on Flamingo Recordings, “Whoomp”. How did that record come to life?

We were looking for something new, something that would inspire us a new idea and we were hit by the lead tech that we used in the track, then we worked on the groove and finally on the break.

Who have been some of your influences throughout the years, both inside and outside of the dance music scene?

We are great fans of Swedish House Mafia, everything they did impressed us, there was always something interesting about their music, never predictable, and we saw them as three great friends who joined their ideas to create something incredible.

We noticed you work closely with Daddy’s Groove. What is your relationship like with them, and do you have any upcoming collaborations?

We’ve been friends for a long time, sometimes we meet in the studio to listen to our new projects and compare our ideas. We both thought that after “Scratchin’” it would be great to do something else together.

We saw that you guys and NEW_ID recently posted pictures from the studio together. Any updates on this massive collaboration?

We met in Amsterdam during ADE to continue working on our collaboration. We created several version but we were not quite satisfied yet. At the moment, we can say that we found the right direction and we’re working together to finish it in these days.

Your track “X-Press” was one of, if not the biggest Doorn Records’ release this year. What was the idea and process behind the track? Did you expect it to become such a major festival hit?

At the beginning, we had the groove as an idea; we really liked how it sounded so kept it and decided to create something that would make everything more interesting. Looking in various libraries, we got hit by a particular loop which match perfectly with our idea, so we brought it on Logic and we started editing this sound that ended up being the winning part of “X-Press”.  We weren’t expecting such huge support for “X-Press”, bringing together so many DJs in this musical moment is very hard, so we’re happy we could do that.

What are your plans and goals for the upcoming year?

We’re working on new music for 2017, we have a collaboration with Dannic, we’re completing our collaboration with New ID, we just started working on a new track with a yang talent Will K and we’re waiting on a good vocal for the track. We have a new India tour, South Africa tour, a big tour in China and several festivals in Europe in the summer.

Talk to us about some of the goals you had for this year. Which ones have you achieved so far?

We can say that the biggest gratification has come from the music this year and it was amazing to see the continuous support we received for all our music this year. Let’s hope 2017 bring us same success.

What are some of your favorite highlights of 2016?

One of the best moment of 2016 are our fans which sent us video of them dancing to X-Press played in the biggest festivals of the world, from Miami to Ibiza etc.
