Richie Hawtin to unveil new CLOSE audio-visual show at Movement festival
Detroit’s Movement Festival is one of the most highly anticipated music festivals in electronic music. Hosted in the city that birthed techno, the weekend long festival is a celebration of all things underground and annually hosts some of the biggest and best names in house and techno. The 2017 edition of the festival will orun from May 27th-29th and has already announced The Belleville Three, deadmau5 under his Testpilot techno alias and Carl Cox as some of the artists heading the bill.
Minimal techno pioneer Richie Hawtin is another one of these headliners, and this year he’s bringing something a bit different to the festival. Preparing a brand new audio-visual spectacle for the occasion, Hawtin will debut his brand new CLOSE show on the Saturday night. While little is known about the show as of yet, knowing Hawtin it will definitely be groundbreaking in more ways than one.
